Main implementers of the project
The main implementers of the project are Turku University of Applied Sciences and Novida, which are responsible for the overall planning, implementation, and coordination of practical cooperation.
Novida

Novida provides secondary vocational education and upper secondary education in the Loimaa, Lieto, and Uusikaupunki areas. The education offered covers a wide range of fields, including the automotive industry, the food industry, social and health care, construction, electrical engineering and automation, media, business, and agriculture. Study opportunities include basic degrees, vocational and specialist vocational qualifications, apprenticeship training, and upper secondary school studies in Loimaa.
Novida works closely with the business community and local companies, and also offers services in the form of student work. Its offices are located in Loimaa, Lieto, and Uusikaupunki.
Turku University of Applied Sciences

Turku University of Applied Sciences is one of Finland’s largest universities of applied sciences, with a community of approximately 13,000 students and 800 experts. The institution operates mainly in Southwest Finland and offers education in four fields: technology, social and health care, business, and arts; bachelor’s and master’s degrees, open university studies, and continuing education. Approximately 2,000 professionals graduate each year.
The institution focuses on research, development, and innovation (RDI) activities that support local businesses and public actors. It works closely with the business community in Southwest Finland.
Campuses: Kupittaa ICT City and EduCity, Medisiina D, Arts Academy on Linnankatu, and Salo IoT Campus.

An active developer and the best partner in the region
The Regional Council of Southwest Finland is an innovative municipal association that develops Finland’s third largest region in cooperation with municipalities, universities, companies, and organizations. The goal is to ensure that Southwest Finland is a good place to live, study, work, and enjoy life.
The Regional Council is responsible for the overall development of the region, regional planning and zoning, maritime spatial planning, and promoting the region’s interests. In addition, it participates in the preparation of structural fund programmes, promotes cooperation between municipalities and regions, manages international relations, and coordinates transport system and environmental planning.
The association employs approximately 80 experts. Its basic activities consist of four areas of responsibility: regional development, advocacy and municipal services, land use and the environment, and joint operations and administration.

Ukipolis Ltd is a development organization owned by the municipalities of Uusikaupunki, Laitila, Vehmaa, Taivassalo, Kustavi, and Pyhäranta, serving the business and economic activities of the Vakka-Suomi region.
